The following is from a release from the Georgia Department of Labor: What to know: Prior to the pandemic, to be eligible to receive unemployment benefits, claimants were required to register for Employment Services at employgeorgia.com, to actively search for work, and to submit weekly work search reports. An 18-year-old dual enrollment student is getting ready to receive an associate degree in Applied Technical Management and a diploma in Welding and Joining Technology from Georgia Northwestern Technical College  as well as his high school diploma from Rome High School when he graduates this May.   This photo of Darlington’s swan, Alice, and her five cygnets swimming on Silver Lake was taken by eighth-grader Lily Ivester. Bonus points for those who knew baby swans are known as cygnets. Congratulations to Bartow County Sole Commissioner Steve Taylor on being sworn in as president of the Association County Commissioners of Georgia, mostly identified as ACCG.
