(Updated) Jobs: 400 more jobs in August as first-time jobless claims plunge 50% vs. July of this year.

  The first look at August’s employment report for Northwest Georgia: Rome/Floyd had 41,900 jobs in  August, up  400 from July and an increase of 100 from August 2019. First-time unemployment claims fell by around 50 percent in each county (see above graphic), or from 14,193 claims in July 2020 to 6,550 last month. However,… Read more
