  The U.S. Geological Survey reports the quake was felt at 9:59 a.m. Friday.  The epicenter was closer to Plainville and Calhoun and just west of Adairsville. We’ve received no reports of any damage. Soutbound traffic on I-75 below Ga. 140 in Adairsville to Cassville-White Road is stacked up at 8 p.m. Thursday because of a fire involving a truck. Two of three southbound lanes are closed. Developing: Two people shot, suspect in custody following early Sunday shooting in Cartersville.

  From Cartersville Police: This morning at approximately 3:45, a shooting took place on Porter Street. Two people were shot and are being treated for injuries. The suspect is in custody and the scene has been cleared. As of 7:50 a.m., there were no suspects in the Bartow County Jail facing charges stemming from a shooting. Read more
