
Ralph Douglas Cain Sr., age 76, of Rome, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022, at his daughter’s residence.
Mr. Cain was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 29, 1946, son of the late Joseph Paul Cain, Sr. and the late Audrey Iona Chandler Cain. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Carol Diane Hayes Cain, and by a brother, Robert Eugene Cain, Sr. Prior to retirement, he worked in janitorial services at Spears Mattress Company. He was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Rachel Cain, Melissa Cain, Janet Petzold, Tammy Cain, and Sarah Martin; two sons, Douglas Cain, and Vincent Cain; a sister, Louise Southerland; a brother, Paul Cain; 22 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 4pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Gene Spears, the Rev. George Nix, and the Rev. Calvin Townsend officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park with the Rev. Eddie Frye officiating.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Friday from 5 until 7pm.

Mrs. Carolyn ‘Carol’ Adams Gibson, age 69, of Rome, GA, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 3, 2022.
Mrs. Carol was born August 26, 1952, daughter of Elisha and Helen Adams. She graduated from Tift College with a Bachelor of Science degree. She worked as a substitute teacher and at the Waffle House where she met her husband, Herbie. Carol enjoyed watching sports, especially the Atlanta Braves, Hawks and the Georgia Bulldogs. Carol was a talented musician and singer. She enjoyed puzzle books and word searches during her free time. Carol was a loving wife, mother, daughter and friend to all. She was preceded in death by her father Elisha Adams; sister, Delores Cox and two brothers, Allen and Jeff Adams
Mrs. Carol is survived by her husband, Herbert Gibson of Rome; children, Travis, David and Amanda; mother, Helen Adams of Marietta; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Dean John Thomas, age 53, of Rome passed away Monday May 2, 2022.
Dean was born on January 13, 1969 in Manhassett, New York, to John Thomas and Elaine Lambros Thomas. He is survived by his children: Christopher Thomas, Olivia Thomas, and Emily Thomas; his parents: John and Elaine Thomas; sister: Elyssa (Barry) Williams, former spouse: Karen Thomas.
In accordance to his wishes, Dean will be cremated. The family will hold a Celebration of Dean’s Life on Friday May 6, 2022 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at his sister Elyssa residence, 2811 Everett Springs Rd NE Armuchee GA. 30105.
