THE LATEST

Scattered snow flurries are possible from 7 until midnight tonight (20% chance).

Wind chill advisory now covers Floyd, Bartow, Gordon, Polk and Chattooga counties from 12:01 a.m. through 1  p.m. Saturday. Single-digit wind chills are possible in most of the area. Watch for 5- to 8-degree wind chills between 2 and 9 a.m. Saturday.

Wind advisory in effect from 7 tonight through 7 a.m. Saturday.  Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph expected.

Red Flag Warning, restricting outdoor fires, is in effect Saturday because of the low humidity and strong winds.
