Recently, the Jamwich Facebook page had this teaser on it:

“Exciting things are in the works!”
It looks like we have an answer.

Watch for some changes on Broad Street in coming weeks as the Bistro 208 operation  moves across the four lanes to 239 Broad, the former home of Crawdaddys. Eric Tant now runs the Bistro as Bob Blumberg has resettled in Florida. Tant already has John Henry’s Grill right next door at 233 Broad so this gives the staff even more synergy. In addition to a relocation, what about a name? Longtime Broad Street fans will recall there was a Bistro 239 in that spot more than a decade ago.

Thatcher’s Barbecue & Grill has reopened on Commerce Street in Summerville after a Nov. 1 fire shut down operations. The latest stop in the regional chain, Thatcher’s opened in Summerville in July 2019 and quickly became a local favorite.

The fire started in the restaurant’s smoker and “was contained there thankfully with the help of the Summerville Fire Department who reacted quickly to put it out.
We are closed on Mondays so there were no staff or patrons inside of the restaurant today at the time the fire started,” according to an older post on the restaurant’s Facebook page.
On Tuesday, Dec. 14, Thatcher’s was back in business. The hours are 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and until 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.
