Mrs. Barbara Dale Oswalt Fisher, age 81, of Rome, GA, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021, at her residence.

Mrs. Fisher was born in Floyd County, GA, on December 29, 1939, daughter of the late Curtis Oswalt and the late Ruth Catherine Roberts Carroll.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Kenneth Fisher, and by a brother, Rev. Leonard Crawford.  Mrs. Fisher was formerly employed at Fifth Avenue Nursing Home but her “call” in life was serving as a faithful minister’s wife.  She was of the Christian faith and assisted and served with her husband in any evangelical event the Lord called them to.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Gail Broach, Rome, and Cathy Smith, Cedartown; her brother, Larry Crawford; 6 grandchildren, Jeremy Roach, Katrina Voyles, Joshua Broach, Derrick Voyles, Kimberly Redding and Stephanie Smith; 15 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 12pm on Friday, October 29, 2021, in Rome Memorial Park, South. The Rev. Alan Voyles will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends from 5pm until 7pm on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.

Pallbearers are to assemble by 11:30am on Friday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, and include:  Alan Voyles, Ricky Broach, Keith Smith, Jeremy Broach, Joshua Broach and Derrick Voyles.


Mrs. Leslie Cain, age 97 and a longtime resident of Cedartown, Georgia transitioned peacefully with family in Jacksonville, FL.

Celebration of Life, Legacy and Love will take place Friday, October 29, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Eastview Baptist Church, 733 Cleo St., Cedartown, GA. Mrs. Cain will lie instate from 11:00 AM until the service hour. Interment will follow at Southview Cemetery.

Public Viewing at F. K. Jones Funeral Home will be Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Please wear a mask.


Mary Ann Watson, age 87, of Rome, Georgia passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Mary was born December 14, 1933.

A graveside service for Mary Ann will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Sunset Hill Memory Gardens, 80 Church St, Rome, Georgia.
