Repairs complete, service restored on Turner McCall, downtown Rome. Maple Avenue issues resolved, too. 84 still out near the Alabama border.

 

10:20 a.m. update: Repairs made and most are back on line.


 

From Floyd E-911:

“There is a power outage in the downtown, east Rome area due to a blown transformer. This ranges from Broad St all the way down Turner McCall Blvd past E 8th St. Please use caution and treat all intersections as 4 way stops when the traffic lights are not functioning. Georgia Power has been notified of the situation and Rome Police are monitoring traffic as well.”

Georgia Power is working it now and the outage has come down to 825 customers as of 9:55 a.m. Total repairs by 11 a.m.

There are two other outages, off Maple Road, that has power out for another 830 customers (repairs by 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.) plus 84 more in Coosa near the Alabama line (repairs due by 11:30 a.m.)
