OUTLOOK

Flash flood watch, now through 2 a.m. Thursday:  Rounds of moderate to heavy rain with embedded thunderstorms are expected through late Wednesday night. Widespread rainfall totals of three to five inches are forecast across the watch area. Locally higher amounts will be possible, especially across the higher terrain of northeast Georgia. There is potential for localized flash flooding and quick rises on rivers and creeks, given the wet ground and normal to above normal streamflows across the watch area.

Tuesday: Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 10am. High near 73. Southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 65. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Wednesday: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 77. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%.

Wednesday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Thursday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Thursday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62.
