Mrs. Mary Lois Tuggle Freeman, age 96, of Rome, GA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 2, 2021.

Mrs. Tuggle Freeman, known to everyone as Lois, was born on July 30, 1925, in Rome, GA, daughter of the late James Argil Brown and the late Lily Belle Brown.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Hugh Carson Tuggle, by her second husband, Roy Freeman, by two sisters, Lola Mae Lewis and Annie Estelle King, and by a great-grandson, Tegan Carson Bradley.  Mrs. Tuggle Freeman was a member of Riverside Baptist Church and the “Naomi” Sunday School class.  Over the years, before her declining health, she served as a Sunday School teacher, a leader in Discipleship training and Vacation Bible School, working with children’s choirs and many other things.  Mrs. Tuggle Freeman served on the mission team in the 1980’s that went to upper state New York to do backyard Bible schools for the children in that area.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Tuggle Lary, Rome; 2 granddaughters, Abby Lary, Rome, and Anna Bazelmans (Christian), Cartersville; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Riverside Baptist Church with Dr. Ralph Jenkins and the Rev. Randy Lambert officiating.  Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12pm until 1:45pm on Tuesday at Riverside Baptist Church.

Pallbearers are to assemble by 1:30pm on Tuesday at Riverside Baptist Church and include: Christian Bazelmans, Matt Green, Fred Rife, Cary McCullough, Barry McCullough and Joe Bazelmans.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of funeral arrangements.

Michael Wayne Adcock, age 60, passed away Friday October 1, 2021 at his residence.
Michael was born on June 30, 1961 in Floyd County, to the late Rev. Julian Adcock and Jeanette Smith Adcock. He was a 1979 graduate of Model High School. He worked for Byars Engineering and Rome Manufacturing.
Survivors include his sister: Teresa Adcock
Graveside and interment services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday October 4, 2021 at Snow Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Parnick Jennings Sr.’s Good Shepherd Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
