Mr. John Michael Garcia, age 51, of Rome, GA, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021, at his residence.
John was born on May 9, 1970, in New York, son of Angelina Garcia and the late Tony Garcia. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Garcia. John was a graduate of Model High School. After high school, John entered the nursing profession as an LPN before going back to school and receiving his RN. He was an RN at Floyd Medical Center for a number of years. John loved riding his motorcycle and all things sports. Whether it was golf, baseball, or football, he not only loved participating, but especially loved cheering on his kids. His kids had his heart and his support in anything they did. John attended Life Church Rome.
Survivors include his 4 children, Mina, Mateo, Madalyn and Madoc Garcia, all of Rome; his mother, Angelina Garcia, Rome; 2 brothers Richard Garcia, Rome, and Pete Garcia (Candice), Calhoun; 5 nieces, Erica Garcia, Sarah Garcia, Maggie Garcia, Piper Garcia and Gaby Garcia.
In accordance with his wishes, John will be cremated, and a Celebration of his Life will be held at 6pm on Monday, October 4, 2021, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Greg Cater officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4pm until 5:45pm on Monday at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
Mrs. Virginia Faye Hubbard Collins, age 80, of Rome passed away Monday September 27, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Collins was born February 23, 1941, in Floyd County, a daughter of the late Russell Hubbard, and Pearl Battles Hubbard. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church and retired from Network Associates. Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Collins.
Survivors include her son and daughter in law, David and Soraya Collins, granddaughter, Lauren Collins.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday September 29, 2021 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour on Wednesday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home.

Mrs. Deborah Stallings-Camp, age 62 of Rome, Georgia, pased away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at a local hospital following a brief illness.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Holsey Sinai CME Church 1233 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Rome, Georgia.
Interment will follow in the Gaylesville Cemetery, Gaylesville Alabama.

David Nathaniel Jarrett, age 58, of Rome passed away Sunday September 26, 2021 in a local hospital.
David was born May 31, 1963, in Floyd County, a son of Buck Jarrett and the late Barbara Wilson Jarrett. He was employed with City of Rome for several years and currently employed with Mohawk Industries. David was a member Oostanaula Masonic Lodge #113 F&AM. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Wilson Jarrett, sister, Dixie Jarrett.
Survivors include his wife Donna Cromer Jarrett, son, Kenneth (April) Jarrett, daughter, Candace (Ricky Braggs) Jarrett, father Buck Jarrett, brother, Jimmy Jarrett, sister, Linda Faye Jarrett, grandchildren, Kenlee Jarrett, Destiny Young, Adalee Jarrett, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday October 1, 2021 at Good Shepherd Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Chip Freeman, officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home. At other hours the family may be contacted at his fathers residence.
Pallbearers include the following gentlemen and are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday by 1:30 P.M. Anthony Bray, Kelby Bray, Seth Bray, Jason Leonard, Paul Garrett, and Wayne Dockery.
Mr. Leonard Watts, age 77, of Rome Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at a local hospital following a brief illness.
Homegoing service will be Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. Wright Memorial Mortuary Chapel, 814 South Broad Street Rome, Georgia. Interment will follow in the East View Cemetery 725 Kingston Ave NE, Rome, Georgia.

Terry Lanier Spears, age 76, of Rome, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Terry was born January 15, 1945.
