Business: Shorter Avenue Starbucks opens today. Downtown Cartersville’s Bradley Building on the market for $2.1 million.

Just in time for Pumpkin Spice Creme weather: The store at 2300 Shorter Ave. at the intersection of Tamassee Lane rose quickly after the former Hardee’s was demolished (the fast food spot closed two years ago last month). The Starbuck’s webpage lists the hours as 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.
Starbucks is part of a series of unrelated openings along Shorter Avenue, including Easy Auto¬†earlier this summer and, by November, the Raceway across from Jack’s and Sonic.

Downtown Cartersville’s Bradley Building on the market for $2.1 million. Anchored at 5 South Public Square, it was built 101 years ago and is in the heart of the city’s entertainment district. Included are three floors, a reception area and space for a restaurant and bar (seating up to 125 people_ as well as ample office space.
