Preauction bid of $1.95 million gets 111, 113,  115-121 Broad St. shops. Thursday was the day Dempsey Auction had set to sell Dulaney Holding Company properties in Rome’s Cotton Block. A preauction offer of $1.95 million was presented and was accepted late Wednesday afternoon for the properties. The buyer is All-Star Properties.
What was included in the purchase:
  • 111 Broad St: 5,251 square feet including 3,251 square feet on the ground floor and two-bedroom, one bath living area upstairs.
  • 113 Broad St.: 7,025 square feet including 3,488 on the main level and two two-bedroom, two-bath lofts upstairs. Plus adjacent parking lot.

Interesting story here: Hull Property Group, owners of Mount Berry Mall, have donated Macon Mall to that city’s government, which hopes to redevelop the site at a tune of $100 million.
