Store hours will be 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; until 9 p.m. Thursday through Saturday; and from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Hiring continues and you can apply by going to careers.ulta.com

The store at 1438 Turner McCall Blvd. is just a tad smaller than the average Ulta store and salon (roughly 10,000 square feet). The Riverbend spot is 9.520 square feet.

Bulding reports show at least $350,000 has gone into remodeling and updating the location.

Work continues on the new Popeye’s on the former home of Long John Silver’s/A & W off Turner McCall at Seventh Street on Monday. There was some utilities work being done on East Seventh Avenue as well on Monday. You can see St. Mary’s Catholic School in the background. Hometown photos.

Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen is going up — and up — in East Rome. The business, replacing the forner home of Long John Silvers/A &¬† W, has been rising quickly since demolition earlier this summer. Long John’s closed in April 2019 and a year later, Funky Chicken Inc. was in town seeking a new store on the site

The Rome/Floyd Planning Department issued a $513,000 permit for the restaurant.

Look for a December opening if not sooner.
