Mrs. Mary Nan Ellison, age 82, of Rome, GA, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at her residence.
Mrs. Ellison was born on September 7, 1938, in Bartow County, GA, daughter of the late Claude Bearden and the late Mary Ruth Kelley Bearden. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herman P. Ellison, and by a son, Tony Paul Ellison. Mrs. Ellison was a lifelong homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include 2 children, Terry Tippett (Joe), Rome, and Johnny Ellison (Robbin), Cedartown; 4 grandchildren, Justin Tippett, Rome, Jessi Ayers (Ben), Rome, Stevi Nasoni (Vincenzo), Utah, and Heather Peroli (Matt), Macon; 2 great-grandchildren, Ellis Ayers, Rome, and Liliana Nasoni, Utah; her sister, Claudine Bearden, Calhoun; sister-in-law, Micki Medlock, Rome; nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in East View Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Brooks will officiate the service.

Mr. Reuben C. Finley, age 89, of Rome transitioned September 5, 2021. Service for Mr. Finley will be Friday, September 10, 2021 at 1 pm at Finley UMC (Chattooga County). Mr. Finley will lie instate from 12 noon until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at Pond Springs Cemetery. ( Private Service )
Public viewing will be Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 10 am until 6 pm at F. K. Jones Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at Finley Chapel. Masks required.
Mrs. Mary Evelyn Tolley, age 89, of Silver Creek, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Tolley was born in Rome, Georgia on August 24, 1932, daughter of the late Gordon Deaton and the late Mary Lou Garrard Deaton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Tolley, and by siblings, Inez Hulsey, Gordon Deaton, Jr., Edward Deaton, Horace Deaton, Audrey Rampley, and Gertrude Couey, and by a granddaughter, Beth Yarborugh. Mrs. Tolley was a member of Pleasant Hope Baptist Church. Prior to retirement, she worked at West Point Pepperell Manufacturing. She enjoyed visits from her nieces & nephews, Judy Chambers, Dorothy Pope, Gene Rampley (Vera) & Dany Deaton, and watching wrestling.
Survivors include her children, Teresa Yarbrough (Lee), Cary Jones (Linda), and Darrell Jones (Carmen); grandchildren, Rhys Truelove, Nikki Goodwin (Adam), Michael Jones (Alicia), Stephanie Jones Brown, Craig Jones, Brandon Jones, and Megan Jones; several great grandchildren.
All services for Mrs. Tolley will be private with burial at Pleasant Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Martha Jane Little Ely, age 74, of Rome, GA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at her residence.
Mrs. Ely was born on August 19, 1947, in Floyd County, GA, daughter of the late Alfred Little and the late Mildred Edwards Little. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Joe Ely, by 2 sons, Rickey Ely and William Sills, and 2 siblings, Merylon Morgan and James W. Little. Mrs. Ely worked for a time in the restaurant industry before retiring to be a full-time homemaker. She loved her family and cherished each and every moment she spent with them. Mrs. Ely was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include 4 children, Donnie Sills (Kim), Rome, Brenda Sills (Billy Wilson), Resaca, Tina Massingill (Ronnie), Resaca, and Juan Ely, Rome; 6 siblings, Alfred Little, Alice Faye Ballard, Ruby Roberson, Mary Crow, Roy Little and Marion Little; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4pm on Friday, September 10, 2021, in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with her brother, the Rev. Alfred Little, and the Rev. Donald Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in Rome Memorial Park, South.
The family will receive friends at the residence where Mrs. Ely will lie-in-state from 5pm Wednesday until 2pm on Friday.
Pallbearers are to assemble by 3:30pm on Friday and include; Jeff Sills, Brandon Cantrell, Tony Little, Charles Champion, Tony Haggard and Riley Champion.
