OUTLOOK

Hurricane Ida likely will dump rain on Northwest Georgia Tuesday and Wednesday with high chance for storms. Returning to a more normal weather path after Wednesday. Track Hurricane Ida here:  Hurricane center.

FORECAST

Today: Patchy fog before 8 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Heat index values as high as 98. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the morning.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. Calm wind.

Monday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Monday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71.
