Jefferson’s Calhoun location opens at 11 a.m. Monday. The guys behind Jefferson’s on Broad Street in Rome are ready with their expansion into Calhoun. Wayne Mullinax and Bart Kinne brought the franchise at 340 Broad St. more than five years ago and will formally open Monday at 447 Ga. 53 in the shopping center that is home to Food Depot and Tractor Supply behind Taco Bell and Chick-fil-A. Fazoli’s opens on Tuesday at 42 Hicks Drive SE but the ceremony begins Monday at 4 p.m. A Rome-Floyd Chamber ribbon-cutting, assisted by Rome officials and Fazoli’s executives, is set for that afternoon.
“We’re so excited to officially open our doors to the Rome community,” said franchisee Amit Patel, who also opened the Cartersville restaurant on Joe Frank Harris Parkway south of Main Street. “We’ve hired an incredible team to join the Fazoli’s family in helping us serve our delectable dishes at an incredible value to this special city. We can’t wait to celebrate our grand opening with everyone on Tuesday.”
The restaurant opens to the public on Tuesday and it will mark the 11th Fazoli’s in Georgia and 221st in 27 states. Rome’s new Fazoli’s will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Guests can dine in, drive through or order carry out.
