OUTLOOK

After a potentially stormy day today, Monday and Tuesday look clear before our weather heads back into the typical summer pattern of heat and likelihood of storms – especially in the afternoons.

FORECAST

Today: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Heat index values as high as 97. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight:  A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 93. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph in the afternoon.
Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 70.
