For more than a decade, Bob Blumberg has been all about downtown Rome. He invested heavily into rehabbing what later became Johnny’s New York Style Pizza on Broad Street and kept it hopping for a decade. During all that, he took another building across Broad Street and opened Seasons, a fine dining hub that he later transformed into Bistro 208. And he found time to chair Rome’s Downtown Development Authority through several transitions in leadership, the parking debates and the start of key updates in the River District.

With both buildings on Broad Street now sold, Blumberg is making good on plans to move to Florida. Johnny’s gave way to what’s now known as John Henry’s Grill  while Bistro 208 remains open.
