Lindale Independence Day Celebration and Parade. Restoration Lindale Inc. announces the Seventh Annual Lindale Independence Day Celebration Parade Grand Marshal is “Coach” David Jones. More than 30 vendors along with food, arts and crafts, and tons of homemade items will be part of the festival on South First Street from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. The parade will line up at Pepperell Primary School at 9:30 a.m. and begin at 10 a.m. It will wind through Park Avenue and end at First Baptist Church Lindale (no entry fee). Also planned: A wreath laying at the Lindale World War II Memorial Wall in front of the Gilbreath Center at 11:30 a.m. with the Lindale American Legion Post 136 and Restoration Lindale’s. River District ArtsFest set for Saturday, June 26, 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Look for craft vendors and live music throughout the River District. (Vendors can sign up here: ArtsFest). Downtown retailers will host sidewalk sales throughout the day. The ACC has approved open containers for the event (must be from a downtown merchant; no outside alcohol).

Keep Rome/Floyd County Beautiful is sponsoring Bee Fest at Ridge Ferry Park from 8 until 11 a.m. The Floyd County Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer your questions about pollinator gardens, make crafts for the children and hand out helpful informational pamphlets. Pop-Up Art Show featuring local artist Morgan Reynolds. An opening reception will be held Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. The show will be held at the Rome Area History Center and will run June 27 through July 1.
