Ms. Shanah Marie Brannon, age 39, of Lindale, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.
Shanah was born in Rome, Georgia on December 16, 1981, daughter of Janet Marie Bradshaw Huckaby and Gregory Steve Brannon. She was of the Baptist faith. Shanah loved the outdoors, animals, and riding in her Jeep. She was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. She was preceded in death by grandfathers, Aaron Bradshaw and Bobby Stanfield, and her canine companion, Aspen.
Survivors include two daughters, AnnTyler Eads and MaKayla Eads; her parents, Janet Huckaby (Lyndon), and Greg Brannon; a sister, Elizabeth Cosper; a brother, Steven Brannon (Krushinda); grandparents, Jean & Glenn Brannon, and Catherine Stanfield; nieces, Alyssa, Anna, Abriana, Maddie, and Kennedy; nephews, Camden and Cannon; great niece, Brooklyn; uncle, Mike Bradshaw; her loving canine companion, Nala.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at 4pm in the Gazebo at Rome Memorial Park. The Rev. Jim Cook will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Tuesday from 5 until 7pm. Social distancing measures will be followed, and masks are requested.
Mrs. Mildred Irene Wiseman Lefler, age 93, of Dawsonville, GA, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021, at a Cumming, GA hospital.
Mrs. Lefler was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 20, 1927, daughter of the late Horace Wiseman, Sr. and the late Leona Hollenbeck Wiseman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie T. Lefler, and by three brothers, Horace Wiseman, Jr., Dwight Wiseman, and Ricky Wiseman. Mrs. Lefler was a 1944 graduate of McHenry High School. Prior to retirement, she was the office manager for Premier Industrial Corporation. She was a former member of West Rome United Methodist Church and was currently a member of Midway United Methodist Church in Alpharetta.
Survivors include a son, Greg Lefler (Jackie), Alpharetta; a daughter, Myra Bennett (Sammy), Gainesville; a sister, Donna Wiseman Lee; a sister-in-law, Betty Wiseman; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren with one on the way; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at 12 noon, at the graveside in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens. Dr. Robert Brown will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, Oaknoll Chapel, has charge of the arrangements.
Mr. James Lewis, age 55, of Rome, Georgia, passed away on May 7, 2021.
