Mrs. Carolyn Mae Wynn Thacker, known by her family as “Nanny”, age 74, of Rome, GA, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Tuesday, May 4, 2021, after a short and courageous battle with breast cancer.

Carolyn was born in Rome, Georgia on November 9, 1946, daughter of the late Dorothy Elizabeth Fricks and the late Adolphus Fricks. A graduate of Pepperell High School and Coosa Valley Tech, Carolyn is known for her faith, strength, courage, spirit, humor, love of animals and willingness to help others.  Carolyn was a retired Cosmetologist; loved planning and cooking for family get-togethers; enjoyed hiking, biking, horseback riding, working in the yard, and researching her family history.

Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, Charles Thacker; her oldest son, Eric Addison (Summer); her daughter, Renee Blankenship (Marty); her youngest son, Chad Thacker; 7 grandchildren, Katlyn, Blair, Seth, Hannah, Lexi, Anna and Boone; 5 great grandchildren; her brother, Kenneth Wynn (Brenda); her sisters, Debbie Sullins (Vic) and Nancy Shell (Ronnie); numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 07, 2021, at 2:00pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Pastor Stephen Drake officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Friday from 12:00pm until 2:00pm.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are requested at both the visitation and funeral service.

Pallbearers are asked to assemble on Friday at 1:30pm and include: Seth Addison, Marty Blankenship, Boone Blankenship, Thomas Thacker, Donnie Thacker, and Tom Hiles.


Rev. Jose Luis Reunilla, age 68, of Kingston, passed away Tuesday May 4, 2021.

Rev. Reunilla was born September 7, 1952 in Jaro Ilo Ilo City in the Philippines, a son of the late Jose Renuilla, and Maria Borromeo Renuilla. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, and Retired Pastor Emeitus of Bethany Baptist Church in Makati, Philippines.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette Jinete Reunilla, daughters, Celina Akston (Matthew), Grace DelaMora(Rodrigo), grandchildren, Eva, Daniel, and Vivian, brothers, George Maria Reunilla, Jose Antonio Reunilla, Jose Maria Reunilla, Jose Miguel Reunilla.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 8, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church, with Rev. Frank Terpening, officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the funeral hour on Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church, 1728 Calhoun Rd. NE. Rome, Ga. 30161.

In luie of fowlers memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church in memory of Rev. Jose Reunilla.
