A 33-year-old Adairsville man died Saturday afternoon involving the 2006 Harley Street Glide motorcycle he was driving and another vehicle, Bartow County Coroner Joel T. Guyton confirms.

The Georgia State Patrol reports:

On May 1, at 5:17 p.m., Jamie Boilard Jr. was traveling north on Jones Mill Road while negotiating a curve. Boilard was traveling too fast for the curve, causing him to lose control of his motorcycle and overturn in the northbound lane. Boilard and the motorcycle continued to travel north on Jones Mill Road, crossing the double yellow line entering the southbound lanes of travel. Both Boilard and the motorcycle were then struck by a white passenger car that was traveling south at the time. Mr. Boilard was pronounced deceased on scene.

The accident, at Jones Mill and Faith Lane, remains under investigation by the state patrol.
