Mrs. Linda Frances Chandler, age 73, of Lindale, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Chandler was born in Rome, Georgia on April 8, 1948, daughter of the late William Riley Chambers, Sr. and the late Frances Thompson Chambers. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Cecelia Diane “Cil” Chambers, and by two brothers, William Riley “Sonny” Chambers, Jr., and Robin Harris. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Chandler worked as an Office Manager for Floyd Medical Center. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church where she was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class. Mrs. Chandler loved studying the Bible and was a former Sunday School Teacher. Her greatest joy in life was loving on her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, J. T. Chandler; a daughter, Lori Mims (Michael), Rome; a son, Michael Chandler (Brooke), Cedartown; three grandchildren, Kayla Crider (Brennan), Trey Souder, and Isabella Chandler; a great grandson, Wyatt Crider; a sister, Crissie Coker (Larry), Ringgold; a sister-in-law, Brenda Harris, Rome; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021, at 1pm at Floyd Memory Gardens. Her pastor, Dr. Philip May, will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, on Sunday from 4 until 6pm. Masks are requested.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble at the cemetery on Monday at 12:45pm and include: Ryan Edwards, Scott Edwards, Joe Knight, Jeff Chandler, Eddie Krukowski, and Brad Edwards.
Teresa Ann Hammond Knowles, age 52, of Rome passed away Thursday April 22, 2021.
Teresa was born on January 14, 1969 in Rome GA., to the late Gerald David Hammond and Wilma Faye Gibson Hammond.
Survivors include her husband: Rusty Frost; children: Jeterus Levaee Knowles, and Bryson Avery Law; brothers: Tim (Mariel) Hammond, David (Lori) Hammond, Dwayne Hammond; sisters: Tina (Randall) Wood, Lisa (Tim) Gamble.
Graveside and interment services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday April 26, 2021 at East View Cemetery with her husband Rusty Frost officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service hour on Monday at Good Shepherd Funeral Home.
Mr. Matthew Wayne Sealock, age 58, of Armuchee, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021.
Matthew was born in Rome, Georgia on December 11, 1962. He graduated from Coosa High School with the Class of 1980, and he was employed by Shorter University with the maintenance department. Matthew served our country in the U.S. Navy. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family, and he will be missed by all.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Anita Marie Sealock; his mother & father, Dorothy Randall Sealock and Edward Sealock; stepsons, Jonathan Manley (Donna), and Marshall Manley (Ashley); grandchildren, Anthony Manley, Olivia Summey, Hayden Manley, Riyah Manley, and Makenna Manley; brothers, Tommy Sealock, Chuck Gavette, and Steve Gavette; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with Pastor Marshall Plants, Pastor Steve Gandy and Pastor Don Plants officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the American Legion Post #5 Honor Guard presenting military honors.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are requested at both the visitation and funeral service.

Mrs. Ruby B. Cargle, age 91, of Rome, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021, at a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Cargle was born in Floyd County, Georgia on April 1, 1930, daughter of the late Riley Jackson Childers and the late Maranda Sisson Childers. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist Faith. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rita Holmes, by her husband, Raymond Preston Cargle, and by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Survivors include a daughter, Gail Tate (Frank), Mableton, GA; a son, Jerry Cargle (Elaine), Kingston, a son-in-law, Roy Holmes, Rome; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Graveside and interment services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta with the Rev. Clifford Free officiating.
