Anne Elizabeth Hatch Troutman, the daughter of the late Clifford Spencer and Frances Connell Hatch, of Lindale, GA, was born in Rome, Georgia on October 7, 1943, and passed away on April 19, 2021, in Pawley’s Island, SC. She had a very happy childhood with wonderful parents, who she deeply loved and respected, and her beloved older sister, Nancy.
Anne married Gregory L. Troutman Jr. on January 11, 1986. Greg was serving as a United States Army Officer and his subsequent assignments took the couple to various stateside locations as well as Germany and Australia. Anne and Greg loved traveling extensively on both continents. In 1996, following Greg’s retirement from the Army, the couple moved to Pawley’s Island, SC, where they have resided for the past 25 years enjoying beachcombing and fresh seafood.
In addition to her husband, Greg, survivors include her three children; Lisa Elliot (Tim) of Gainesville, GA, Robin Stokes (Gerald) of Clarkesville, GA, and Kevin Ramsey of Gainesville, GA; four grandchildren, Blake Martin, Louise Elliot, Paul Newell, and Jessica Terrell; and eight great-grandchildren. Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Nancy Bevels, and her brother-in-law, Wilburn Bevels.
Anne will be missed, but never forgotten, by those who loved her as well as everyone who was touched by her genuine kindness and love.
A private family graveside will be held in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with Rev. Eric Whelchel officiating.
