Business: As Sunrise Manufacturing prepares for larger quarters, the existing site now on sale for $2.3 million.

In December, the Development Authority of Floyd County voted to sell 10 acres near Pirelli to Sunrise Manufacturing as the company needs room to grow. Four months later, the company’s current home is on the market for $2.3 million.The listed, from Sands Investment Group, says of the site:

  • Based at 1900 Parrish Drive SE in Rome,  it is being marketed for use as manufacturing or a warehouse.
  • It features 43,500 square feet under roof; one story.
  • The campus is 2.6 acres with “great frontage off Cedartown High which sees nearly 21,000 vehicles per day.
  • It was built in 1977 and renovated in 2000.
  • Features four dock doors. wet sprinkler system; a height of 22 feet.

Updates from the Rome Floyd Development Authority:

“In a special called meeting, the Development Authority of Floyd County announced the sale of 10 acres in the Floyd County Industrial Park to 1900 Parrish Drive, LLC, dba Sunrise Manufacturing. This site is immediately adjacent to property just purchased by Summit Hill Foods.
“Sunrise has experienced extraordinary growth over the last year and has outgrown their current facility. This new building will provide them the space they need to meet demand, as well as build capacity for the future. More details about their expansion will be made available as they finalize their plans,” said Missy Kendrick, President of the Rome Floyd County Development Authority.

 


By a unanimous vote, the Development Authority of Floyd County voted to sell 10 acres at the industrial park near Pirelli to Sunrise Manufacturing.

The sale price was $175,000 or $17,500 per acre — and sheds a little light on what has been billed as “Operation Sunrise” in development circles in recent weeks.

Sunrise Manufacturing is based at 1900 Parrish Drive SE and is based at Rancho Cordonva, Calif.
