Veteran Realtor Steve Graves from Hardy Realty has been appointed to the Georgia Real Estate Commission by Gov. Brian Kemp. Graves’ term is through April 1, 2026.
The commission is charged with ensuring “that real estate licensees and appraisers are professionally qualified and promotes a fair and honest market environment for those involved in real estate transactions throughout the state.” Rome’s Lynn Dempsey serves as real estate commissioner.
According to his bio on Hardy Realty’s website:
Graves is a lifetime resident of Northwest Georgia with a 40-year affiliation to Rome. He has 20 years of sales experience. Steve has been a Realtor since 1994, and Associate Broker since 2007. He has distinguished himself as a Top Producer by being Hardy’s Agent of the Year for eight consecutive years.
Steve served in the Marine Corps where he learned how to make things happen. He also learned to never give up until you have exhausted all means available. This has served him well in meeting the needs of his clients.

Steve is a member of the Rome-Floyd Chamber, the Greater Rome Board of Realtors, Armuchee Ruritan Club, and has served on the Superintendents Advisory Board and School Council.
