HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK
Areas of dense fog are expected this morning over much of north and central Georgia. Visibilities could drop to less than one quarter mile. A few thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening across north and central Georgia. Isolated storms could become strong to severe with gusty winds…large hail…and heavy downpours.
Friday through Wednesday… There is some potential for wintry precipitation in far north Georgia for the weekend and into the first of the week…mainly Sunday night and again Monday night into Tuesday morning. Uncertainty remains high with these events so please monitor for likely changes in future updates.
Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 9am. High near 61. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
