A couple of openings are steps closer today. A lot of eyes have been on the former Brewhouse Music & Grill at 325 Broad St. since it closed last month. Up next: The Rome Alcohol Control Commission will hear the application to allow Seconds on Broad Street to pour beer, wine and liquor. The required sign on the front of the establishment lists the applicant as Stephanie Shaw, most recently associated with the Brewhouse. The ACC meets Monday, Oct. 19, at 5 p.m. in the city commission chambers.
Next weekend opening for Legends Cafe & Grill on Shorter Avenue? The business’s Facebook page continues to feature updates, including employee training in recent days. As of Wednesday morning, the owners said, “We are hoping to open up by next weekend. Just finishing a few more things up before opening.” On Tuesday, the parking lot was being cleaned.
