We are just weeks away from the opening of the first restaurants in the new East Bend shopping coming to the corner of Turner McCall Boulevard and Hicks Drive.
Panda Express released this update on Saturday: “The Rome location is set to open in early October, though that timing is subject to change. The restaurant is a 2,300-square-foot, free-standing drive through building and contains 68 interior seats with no outdoor seating. In terms of staffing, we aim to have one general manager, one assistant manager and 10 associates. Those interested in applying can visit pandacareers.com.”
The restaurant received a score of 100 of their initial public health restaurant inspection last week. We anticipate opening within two weeks. Check out their menu online.
Chipotle isn’t far behind. You can see crews still working on the interior of the restaurant as you drive by. Tyler Benson with Chipotle’s Communications Department says the restaurant will be opening in October, but the date is still being finalized. He says an exact date should be set after Oct. 5.
