Another industrial park is targeting Bartow County, north of Cartersville near Peeples Valley Road.
Transwestern Development Co. wants to build four buildings with a combined 953,000 square feet under roof. The project cost is estimated at $70 million and is expected to generate $700,000 a year in taxes, based on the Development of Regional Impact statement filed with the Northwest Georgia Development Commission.
The working name is Bartow Transwestern Industrial Park. Once operational, it is expected to generate 4,727 vehicle trips per day (on average over 24 hours). The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports the project will cover 33 acres.
