Tonight apparently is last call for Brewhouse Music & Grill in downtown Rome. The restaurant, bar and music venue is closing after tonight and will reopen following a remodel — and with a new name, according to signage on the door at 325 Broad St. We’re not sure exactly what is on the way.
Eric McJunkin had been the most recent owner after buying the business from Jay Shell two years ago as Shell moved brewing operations to 333 Broad St. (which remains open under the Rome City Brewing Co. name with unrelated changes on the way).
No changes regarding Brewhouse had been filed with the city clerk’s office as of Friday afternoon.
Look for Nails Studio is open soon in the former Jandy’s location at River Center off Turner McCall and Avenue A soon. Most of the signage is up and the “coming soon” sign is out as well. The hours will be 9:30 a.m. until 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday. The phone number: 706-237-7345 (no answer yet as we called Friday).
They’re leasing the spot from Wayne Robinson who earlier said an early October opening date was the target.
