Buzz: Harbor House’s Roman Rumble 5K pushed back to Nov. 14. Floyd Commission and Rome Board of Education meetings in Tuesday.

Great turnout for last year’s Roman Rumble 5K at Ridge Ferry Park.

Roman Rumble 5K update:
For over 30 years, the Roman Rumble 5K has been supporting the Harbor House, the Northwest Georgia Child Advocacy Center. Joe Costolnick, director of Harbor House, says while they planned a virtual event in early September, they have pushed back the date until Saturday, Nov. 14 at Ridge Ferry Park Shoals entrance. “We have pushed the date back until November 14th, hoping to have it as an in-person race in a traditional way, but we are also going to plan for a virtual type event as a backup option in case that isn’t safe as we get closer to the date.” The registration will begin in a few weeks. More details soon.
