SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHWESTERN FLOYD COUNTY UNTIL
615 PM EDT...

At 539 PM EDT...a strong thunderstorm was near Waterhouse, or 5
miles west-southwest of Coosa...moving east at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...Up to 40 mph wind...frequent cloud to ground lightning
           and heavy rain.

  IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
           light...unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
           street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

FORECAST

Friday: A chance of showers, then showers and thunderstorms likely after 10am. Partly sunny, with a high near 89. Heat index values as high as 99. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
