Victoria Anne (Tori) Luke met her Savior Jesus in eternity on July 25, 2020.

Tori was born April 1, 2006 ,in Rome, GA, and grew up as a part of the Rockmart, GA community. She loved to read, draw, write stories and study God’s Word. She was an exceptional athlete and will be remembered for her determination, hard work, fun spirit and love for her teammates. Tori was a softball player and also enjoyed soccer, basketball, and track. She would have been a freshman this year at Rockmart High School.

Tori was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sandra Ann Luke.

Tori is the beloved daughter of Steve and Robin Luke and sister of Trey and Kat, whom she loved spending time with. She is also survived by her grandparents: Alan and Kathy Dolbeer and Chuck and Brenda Luke, and her many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services for Tori will be held Friday, July 31, 2020 at 6:00 pm in the Rockmart High School Gymnasium with the her father, Steve Luke delivering the eulogy and Rev. Jason Odom officiating. A private family interment will follow.

The family will receive friends Friday from 3:00 pm until the funeral hour in the Rockmart High School Gymnasium. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and facial coverings are recommended.

Honorary pallbearers will include the Sting roster and include: Emma Hindmon, Emily Hindmon, Analee Morris, Briley King, Anna Suits, Trinity Farmer, Zori Williams, Madilyn Shuman, McKenzie Maulding, and Emma Scott.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Rockmart High School Athletics with a notation that the donation is given in memory of Tori.

The Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Family and friends are mourning the loss of an incoming Rockmart High freshman in a freak accident Saturday.

Post after post on Facebook embraces 14-year-old Tori Luke as well as her parents. Steve and Robin Luke. Her father, Rockmart High’s longtime softball coach, shared the following on Sunday:

The Polk County School District shared this note: “The Polk School District family mourns the loss of one of our students, Tori Luke, daughter of two of our employees, Steve and Robin Luke, and friend to all. We grieve deeply with the Luke family and ask that you remember them during this difficult time.”

From Rockmart High School: “The Yellow Jacket Family is heartbroken. The Jacket Nation lost one of our students who was the daughter of our very own Coach Steve Luke and Coach Robin Luke in a tragic accident. Please send your thoughts and prayers to the Luke family but give them the space to process this great loss. There are no words for the sadness we all feel. #jacketnation”
