Have a nagging sweet tooth along with special diet restrictions? Introducing Sugarless Sweets, a new family-owned, bakery specializing in low carb, sugar and gluten free treats, opening soon at 1136 East Avenue in Cedartown. Owner Bokay (Bo) Couzzart offers a variety of sweets to accommodate any diet including Paleo, vegan or dairy-free.
“Everything I make is gluten and sugar-free. We also have options for Paleo, vegan and dairy-free options. Everything is labeled so you can choose for your specialized diet,” says Couzzart, who has been baking out of her home kitchen for last 15 years.
“I use Monkfruit, which is an all natural sweetener. It tastes like sugar without the after taste of artificial sweeteners. And it doesn’t affect glucose levels,” she says. “We all have sweet tooth and this way, you can eat and it will not affect your health.”
The menu includes a variety of baked goods including macaroons, donuts, cookies, brownies, sausage and bacon balls, Cheddar-Bay biscuits, pies, 15 flavors of cheesecake and 108 flavors of cupcakes.
“Every Girl Scout cookie flavor we have in a cupcake,” says Couzzart. “We also have Lisa Smith, from Lisa Bakes Cakes, joining us as our cake decorator. She will be available to do custom cake orders with her amazing talent.”
In addition to sweet treats, Sugarless Sweets will also feature craft coffees, fresh-fruit smoothies and a variety of 30 different flavors of sugar-free teas. “We will have dairy-free options like almond milk and homemade sugar-free whip cream in our coffees,” she says.
Sugarless Sweets will be offering free delivery (with a minimum $50 order) to Rome, Rockmart, Aragon and Cedartown. Hiring continues for baristas and delivery drivers, must be able to do both. You can checkout their Facebook page for details.
Couzzart plans to open Saturday, August 1. Business hours will be Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and closed Sunday. Visit online at www.sugarless-sweets.com or call 678-901-3234.
