THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN PEACHTREE CITY HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...
  SOUTHWESTERN CHATTOOGA COUNTY IN NORTHWESTERN GEORGIA...

* UNTIL 515 AM EDT SATURDAY.

* AT 1105 PM EDT, DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING 
  HEAVY RAIN ACROSS THE WARNED AREA. BETWEEN 2 AND 3 INCHES OF RAIN 
  HAVE FALLEN. FLASH FLOODING IS ONGOING OR EXPECTED TO BEGIN 
  SHORTLY.

  HAZARD...FLASH FLOODING CAUSED BY THUNDERSTORMS.

  SOURCE...DOPPLER RADAR.

  IMPACT...FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS, HIGHWAYS, AND
           STREETS AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AND LOW LYING AREAS.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLASH FLOODING INCLUDE...
  SUMMERVILLE, LYERLY, HOLLAND, JAMES H. FLOYD STATE PARK AND 
  CHATTOOGAVILLE.

THIS INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING STREAMS AND DRAINAGES...
  CHATTOOGA RIVER, HINTON CREEK, CABIN CREEK, HEATH CREEK, 
  TALIAFERRO CREEK, COOSA RIVER, VANNS BRANCH, MOSS CREEK, KINGS 
  CREEK, SELMAN CREEK, CLARKS CREEK, LITTLE ARMUCHEE CREEK AND 
  RACCOON CREEK.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE IN THE 
WARNED AREA.
...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHWESTERN CHATTOOGA AND
WESTERN FLOYD COUNTIES UNTIL 1130 PM EDT...

AT 1031 PM EDT...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM 
BERRYTON TO ROME. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING VERY SLOWLY WEST. 

  HAZARD...FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND HEAVY RAIN.

  IMPACT...LIGHTNING IS ONE OF NATURE'S LEADING KILLERS. IF YOU CAN 
           HEAR THUNDER, YOU ARE CLOSE ENOUGH TO BE STRUCK BY 
           LIGHTNING. HEAVY RAIN WILL CAUSE TEMPORARY STREET 
           FLOODING AND PONDING OF WATER ON ROADS AS WELL AS RISING 
           WATER ON SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS.

SOME LOCATIONS IN THE PATH OF THESE STORMS INCLUDE
ROME, SUMMERVILLE, LYERLY, MENLO, COOSA, BERRYTON, CHATTOOGAVILLE,
TIDINGS, JAMES H. FLOYD STATE PARK, HOLLAND AND LINDALE.
