Cartersville man now faces murder, three other counts following Sunday evening shooting.

Bartow County Jail reports show the suspect in the Sunday evening murder of a Cartersville woman now faces four counts, including murder.

David Aaron Turner of 31 Crump Road is charged with murder, aggravated assault with a gun, aggravated battery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, the latest jail reports show.

He was booked into the county jail at 7:20 p.m. Sunday less than 90 minutes after the shooting occurred, leaving one woman dead and a man seriously injured. Turner is being helpd without bond.

CBS 46 in Atlanta reports authorities are investigation a shooting that left one dead and another injured in Bartow County late Sunday evening. The crime scene was at 31 Crump Road just west of Ga. 293 and U.S. 41.CBS46 spoke to the victim’s father who said a friend staying with his daughter, Clara Renee Ashworth, 38, and her boyfriend shot them both, killing her and wounding her boyfriend.  Expanded report.

WBHF is reporting two people have been shot near 31 Crump Road in Cartersville. The attack occurred around 6 p.m. Sunday. Tentative information lists one victim as male and one as female. Please check back for additional updates.
