‘We Matter: A Peaceful Protest’ draws crowd of 50-plus on Sunday.

“We Matter: A Peaceful Protest” drew a smaller crowd on this fourth Sunday in front of Rome’s City Auditorium. Once again organized by Candice Spivey, a crowd of about 50 was on site at 4:30 p.m. as well as a few supporters across Broad Street. Part of the gathering included 8:46 seconds in remembrance of George Floyd’s final minutes. (Corrected from earlier post).

From Saturday: Area youth staged a Black Lives Matter march from Trinity United Methodist Church to Rome First United Methodist Church.
