IX. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
1. Appoint someone to Post 3 on the Floyd County Airport Commission. Dr.
George Bosworth’s third term is expiring on June 30, 2020. The new term will
expire on June 30, 2024.
2. Reappoint Kevin Evans to Post 4 on the Floyd County Airport Commission. This
new term will expire on June 30, 2024.
3. Appoint Dr. Courtney Cash fill a position on the Floyd County DFCS Board.
Mitchell Jolly’s second term is expiring June 30, 2020. This new term will expire
on June 30, 2025.

4. Appoint someone to fill an unexpired position on the Floyd County Board of
Health due to lack of attendance.
5. Appoint someone to fill a position on the Georgia Behavioral Health Board.
Deborah Malone’s third term is expiring on July 31, 2020. This new term will
expire on July 31, 2023.
6. Appoint Chris Butler to fill an unexpired position on the NWGA Regional
Commission Council due to lack of attendance. This term is set to expire
September 8, 2020.
7. Appoint someone to an open position on the Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation
Authority. Thad Watters is currently filling the post of a previously unexpired
term. This new term will expire June 30, 2025.

1. Approve Rome-Floyd Parks & Recreation Sponsorship/Partnership Contract with
Redmond Regional Medical Center.
2. Accept Floyd County Public Works recommendation to award bid to Tidwell
Traffic Solutions for thermal stripe on three (3) miles of Booze Mountain Road in
the amount of $28,785.00.
3. Approve renewal of annual contract with GDOT to sweep the shoulders (bike
lanes) on the newest leg of the Bypass (Temp 746) once/month.

4. Approve renewal of 2020-2021 property and liability with ACCG-IRMA.
5. Approve quit claim deed to Charles Lambert for redemption of property located at
2471 Lyons Bridge Road, Floyd County Tax Parcel #F19-058.

1. Approve reroofing of the Horace Anthony Center by Midian Roofing Inc. in the
amount of $66,055.00. This is a 2017 SPLOST project but it was not budgeted
for 2020. It is requested that this amount be budgeted in 2020. It was originally
budgeted at $70,000.00.
2. Approve purchase of additional Bobcat Mini Excavator for Water Department
with accessories from original bid in February 2020 to Rhinehart Equipment
Company in the amount of $63,456. This was not budgeted and is a request to
adjust/increase the Water Capital Fund in the above amount.
