Today: Floyd County Courthouse reopens at 8 a.m. after 2-week closures due to COVID outbreak
. Face masks now required for anyone entering the building. Details

Today: Downtown Rome Parking Enforcement resumes today. This will include the 3-hour parking limit for on-street parking from 8am-6pm Monday through Saturday, as well as all of the permitted decks and lots. Details

Tuesday: The Cartersville-Bartow Chamber hosting the #ForBartow $10,000 giveaway today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Purchase a $100 gift card through the giveaway and receive a matching $100 gift card free. Savvy shoppers will have the opportunity to purchase gift cards to a variety of chamber member restaurants and retail shops in increments of $100. For each purchase made, the Chamber of Commerce will match the first $100 spent by the consumer until the goal of $10,000 in matching funds is reached. Wednesday: The annual Heroes Unified Blood Drive is scheduled for Wednesday June 24 from 6 a.m. until 1 p.m. Blood Assurance is in critical need of donations, especially with the pandemic shuttering their offices for several days. Locations include the downtown Law Enforcement Center and the Floyd County Jail. Reservations are not required but will get you through the line a bit quicker.
