Sunday evening update: NWS reports Polk 911 Center reports several trees down along Meadow Lakes Court in Cedartown.

This afternoon’s thunderstorms have caused power outages around the region with an estimated 895 without power.

Georgia Power reports 895 customers without power including 683 out in Floyd and 212 out in Polk County. Georgia Power is assessing the situation. Outage map

All previous power outages with North Georgia EMC in Chattooga and Gordon have been restored. NGEMC

Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 2am, then a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
