It’s the first day of summer with the June solstice arriving at 5:44 p.m. EST today. Slight rain chances this Father’s Day weekend with highs in low 90s. From Saturday through Tuesday, isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible each afternoon. Gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rain will be possible with any storms that do develop. A cold front is expected to move through the area on Wednesday and Thursday bring additional chances for scattered thunderstorms. Gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy rain will be possible in any stronger storms.
