Floyd County Schools posts six ‘scenarios’ for reopening classrooms, currently set for Aug. 6. Each depends on status of the pandemic.

Floyd County Schools has released a list of “scenarios” for reopening classrooms as the new school year starts Aug. 6.

The above chart lists six scenarios under consideration:

“Floyd County Schools’ District Reopening Scenarios for 2020-21 School Year (Dependent on the spread of COVID-19 in the community determined by local and state health officials. Social distancing guidelines will be implemented for all.)

Now posted on the school system’s Facebook page, it has spawned more than 50 comments and replies. Among them is this update from the school system:

“Please understand that this is not something that is up for a vote. Floyd County Schools’ District Reopening Scenarios for 2020-21 School Year are dependent on the spread of COVID-19 in the community determined by local and state health officials.”
