UPDATE Saturday May 23, 2020: Warrants are active for Griffin Thomas HensonĀ related to a pursuit that zig zagged between Georgia and Alabama on Friday.

The Alabama man is charged with numerous crimes including assault on a police officer and possession of a stolen vehicle. The Ford Mustang he was driving had been stolen from Marietta a few days earlier and was wrecked and abandoned near the state line on Blacks Bluff.

He is reported to be armed with a firearm and should be considered dangerous. Do not attempt to apprehend the man if you see or know him. Contact 911 immediately.

Henson is in his early 20’s, 6-feet in height, weighs about 180 lbs. and has visible tattoos on his hands.

Friday May 22, 2020: Police have called off the search for a man who ran from officers on Blacks Bluff Road bear the state line.

Dash cam pictures show the driver of the vehicle that was later determined to be stolen from Marietta. If you see the man in the area of the 8400 block, or if you recognize him, please contact this page or 911.

The pursuit of the purple Ford Mustang began around 10 am Friday when an officer observed the Mustang cut off another vehicle. The vehicle failed to stop for officers and a pursuit began.

The man is wanted for being in possession of the stolen vehicle, fleeing police and aggravated assault on a police officer.
