Precautions over the coronavirus pandemic canceled the traditional memorial for fallen officers on Friday. But their dedication and service wasn’t forgotten. This note from the Floyd County Police Department: The absence of a Peace Officer Memorial (on Friday) breaks a streak in annual services held by law enforcement to honor or fallen officers. But a local officer/business owner (Rome Police Officer Brandon Pledger) used his private money to place flowers at the graves of each officer.
