OUTLOOK

  • Our break from the rain will end late Monday with another 1.5 inches expected through Wednesday morning. Light rain will continue into Friday.
  • We’ve seen 7.77 inches so far this month, based on the agricultural weather station on Bells Ferry.
  • Weiss Lake: FromCherokee County Emergency Management Agency – Alabama: According to Shoreline Management we can expect the Weiss lake level to rise near elevation 566.4 feet by Saturday, Feb 15; spill gates are open.

ROADS

From Floyd County Public Works (midday Friday): Coosa River is up and that adds Livingston Road to our list of Closed Roads, near the 1300 block. Continued closed are:
-Plemones Road

–Thomas Bluff Road – 900 block near County Line
–Collier Road – access past 100 block should come from the north loop
–Old River Road – between Highway 20 and the boat Ramp.

Gordon County road closures through 4 p.m.  Friday: Cook Rd, River Bend Rd. from Thomas Bluff Rd. to Cutoff Rd, McDaniel Station Rd, Water Tank Rd, Beamer Bottom Rd, Langford Rd, Beamer Circle Rd, Thomas Bluff Rd, and Miller Ferry Rd.
