Mrs. Carolyn Wood Perry, age 82, of Rome, GA, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at her residence.
Mrs. Perry was born in Rome, GA on July 3, 1937, daughter of the late Dana Kenneth Wood, Sr. and the late Anna Marie Stephens Wood. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Wanda Nix and Sandra Williams, and by a brother, D. K. Wood, Jr. She was a 1956 graduate of Pepperell High School in Lindale. Mrs. Perry was employed for several years with her family at North Georgia Equipment Co. prior to her retirement. She was a member of North Broad Baptist Church where she sang in the church choir and was active in various ministries of the church.
Survivors include her husband, H. Haskell Perry, to whom she was married on February 28, 1958; twin daughters, Stacy Perry Jones (Michael), Rome, and Tracy Perry Farmer, Pensacola, FL; her son, David Perry (Summer), Rome; 5 grandsons, Alex Moon, Will Perry, Brandon Farmer, Jacob Jones, and Joel Perry, all of Rome; her great granddaughter, Riley Perry, Rome; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020, at 4:30pm at North Broad Baptist Church with her Pastor, the Rev. Micah Pritchett officiating. Private interment will follow in East View Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at North Broad Baptist Church on Friday from 3pm until the service hour.
Mrs. Perry’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Broad Baptist Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Mr. Arthur C. “A.C.” Camp, age 92, of Rome, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at a local hospital.
Mr. Camp was born in Rome, Georgia on October 22, 1927, son of the late Robert Horace Camp and Chloe Devin Underwood Camp. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Camp, sons, Robert Camp, Michael Camp, Tommy Eugene Camp, sister, Mary Ellen Camp, and brother, William Camp. Prior to retirement, Mr. Camp was employed with Floyd County Public Works for 38 years, and he was honored to be employee of the year in 1991. He had previously worked for Fox Manufacturing as a supervisor for 31 years. Mr. Camp was a member of Agape Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U. S. Army.
Survivors include a brother, Kerney Camp; two daughters, Nancy Holder, Rome, and Donna Graham, Cartersville; three sons, Danny Camp (Ann Marie), Bridgeport, Connecticut, Rickey Camp (Deneen), Calhoun, and Greg Camp (April), Rome; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020, at 2:00pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, with the Rev. Marvin Jackson, the Rev. Frank Towe officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Dixson Holtzclaw officiating.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel, on Thursday, January 16, 2020, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
Pallbearers are asked to assemble on Friday at 1:30 pm and include; Dewayne Weeks, Danny Franks, Terry Owens, Shawn Prather, Ricky Camp and Max Thompson.
Holly Mae Dixon Kinsey, age 34, of Rome, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020, at a Birmingham, Alabama hospital.
Holly was born in Rome, Georgia on July 4, 1985, daughter of Gregory Jack Dixon and Sherry Boozer Brooks. She was a member of West Rome Baptist Church. Prior to her illness, she worked for Harbin Clinic as a Phlebotomist. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Jack & Evelyn Dixon.
Survivors include her husband, Christopher Bryan Kinsey, to whom she was married on February 12, 2005; a daughter Lexi Kinsey; her father, Gregory Jack Dixon, Rome; her mother, Sherry Brooks (Danny), Rome; a sister, Haley Abernathy (John), Rome; two nephews, Jackson & Jeffrey Abernathy; grandparents, Van & Barbara Boozer; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at 1pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, with the Rev. Scott Lambert officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Pond Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Eleanor L. Reese, age 88, of Rome, Georgia, passed away Monday, January 13th 2020 at Fifth Avenue Nursing Center.
Ms. Reese was born in Rome, Georgia on March 15th 1931. Daughter of Moses Mevric Price Lindsey and Berta Lee Dearing. She was also preceded in death by her late husband Charles William Reese, and daughter Amy Reese Stanfield. Ms. Reese was a graduate of Rome High School in 1948.
She was employed for several years with BellSouth telephone company and was also a volunteer with the American Red Cross. Ms. Reese was of the Christian faith and attended North Rome United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her daughter Susan Reese Scavone (Addison, Illinois) and her three grandchildren Reese, Evan and Charles Stanfield and his wife Kaitlyn all of Rome. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17th of 2020 at Daniels Funeral Home of Rome, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm on Friday at Daniel’s with a graveside service following the visitation at East View Cemetery.
