Manhunt continues for robbery suspect; clerk treated for injuries and released from Floyd Medical Center.

Sarvan Saina, identified as the clerk shot in Saturday night’s armed robbery, has been treated for his injuries and released from Floyd Medical Center.

From Assistant Chief of Police Debbie Burnett:

On Nov. 30 at 9:15 p.m., a black male entered 410 S. Broad (Hi Tech) wearing all black and a black ski mask.  The suspect shot the clerk in the back and stole the money from the register. The suspect fled on foot around the building.  It did not appear that the clerk’s injuries were life threatening. The crimininal investigations division has been notified.

Floyd E-911 confirm Rome Police and emergency personnel are on scene of a shooting at the South Broad Mini Mart (Hi-Tech Fuel) at 410 S. Broad St. that occurred around 9 p.m. According to reports, the store clerk has been shot but no information is available on his/her condition at this time. Not other details are available at this time. We are awaiting an update from Rome City Police.
