A busy Friday with more brewing for the weekend:

  • Business: Bekaert closing Shelbyville, Ky., plant; 100 to be laid off in January. That’s after layoffs here earlire this year.
  • Business: Prep work begins on Christmas Tree City; opens Nov. 25. Silver Creek Christmas Tree Farm opens Nov. 29.
